When I was reading the excerpt from Anne’s diary, when she was talking about everyone who lives in the Annex it kind of reminded me of the reality show Real World. Ok, I realize how this sounds kindd of wierd, how are they anything alike???Well the summary of this reality show is that 7 strangers are picked to live in a house together while they live life and try not to leave because their roomates are driving them crazy.Ok so the “strangers” are the Franks, the Vaandans, and Mr.Dussel. Are “picked” well the Franks picked the lifestyle of being Jewish because of their heritage and the Nazi’s picked the Jews as the people they would harm.The “house” is the annex.Well all the famiys are draving each other but they would “leave” if the Nazi’s found them. Some of the differences are that the Franks were actually courageus moving when they would have been killed or put into a concentration camp. The strangers from the “Real World” are just having fun, Anne is risking her life.That I think is the biggest difference.Most of my differneces have to do with values and personalites. I don’t think I need to list them, most are pretty obvivous \, but leave me some comments listing your thoughts and differences.
One of the things that I really like to do and get involved in is mission trips. Every year the junior high at my church goes on a mission trip to Asheville, North Carolina, we build houses and do other fun activities. Last summer was my first time and it was a blast! A normal day there would be wake up at 7:00 , eat breakfast, then, morning worship. I know morning worship sounds boring at first, but its not. We jump around and dance to remixed songs and then a speaker talks to us, but not about boring things that you honestly don’t care about, but really cool topics and stories that would leave you bawling.Then the work starts, we paint and re-roof houses for people who can’t afford to. The owner of our house was a sweet, old lady who always asked if we needed anything, though she had nothing.While painting we joked, talked, had paint wars and laughed all the time. My soffes remind me of all our paint wars, since they are covered in light blue paint.Even through all the laughing I remember one traumatic experiences, one day a brick fell off the roof and smacked a girl in the head , we were all so concerned and worried, but she turned out fine, just a concussion. After all the hard work we would get cleaned up at the local college and then head back to Recreation for a night of fun. Some days we’d go out for ice-cream and others we’d go to the super Walmart, which was a life saver there.(blankets and Costco packs of gum). Recreation was one of my favorite trips during summer break.I got closer to my friends,God, and learned that there is no greater feeling then after a week in Recreation. Another mission trip I’m soon to go on is our church one to Nicaragua. You go with your family over Christmas break and do loads of charity work while there. I’m so excited to go and experience that. Doing mission trips is just on of the many things I love, but it is one of the most important.
I’m the girl who laughs out loud when things aren’t funny, but just stupid!!! I’m also the nice girl, the sweet one, the girl people can come to crying and I’ll listen. I’m the girl who’ll take their best friends side even when she knows they’re not right. I’m the one who can’t take anything seriously and jokes all the time. I’m the one everyone loves…. because of my personality! If you can’t see me in a crowd wait till I laugh and have a party, out of nothing! My outgoing personality and zest for life makes me enjoyable and a party to be around!!!
I’m the one who loves to laugh and joke around, that part of my personality picks people up and makes their real sprit come to life. Why live if you can’t laugh, life should be an awesome experience, I always get through the day by laughing and joking with friends. Joking around is the biggest part of my personality; it’s what makes me unique. My awesome friend Suzannah says “Kat (meow) is always ready to joke around and I know I’m going to have a blast when I’m around her.”
I’m the one who will stick up for her friends, no matter what. I’ll take their side no questions asked, because that’s me, my friends are 80% of my personality they make me, me. Without them I would just sit in a corner joking by myself no one to help make me me. So I’m a loyal friend and would do anything possible for them, if they need a favor I hope they know I’m the pone to come to. I’m loyal and trust worthy and that’s why I’m the one.
My sensitive, sweet personality makes me be someone you can count on to talk to, just talk. I’m the girl you can tell all your problems and secrets too and know she’ll listen and give advice worth hearing. I’m sweet and caring and love everyone and everything. I’ll be the girl to work at orphanages in Nicaragua and play with kids at the Genesis Shelter. Thats me and if you don’t like sorry, but I can’t change me, cause that would be changing all my morals and values.
